Fresh Samsung Galaxy S6 renders give us our best look yet

With less than a month to go until Samsung's March 1 event at MWC 2015 we're waiting with bated breath to see its new flagship smartphone - the Samsung Galaxy S6 - but we may already know what it looks like.

A comprehensive series of schematics and renders have hit the web, seemingly revealing every angle of the Galaxy S6 and comparing it to the iPhone 6.

Supplied by underkg, the series of images arrived with a selection of specs including the dimensions of the Galaxy S6 - 143.3 x 70.8 x 6.9 mm.

That would make it thinner and less wide than the Galaxy S5, but a touch taller, while it would be both taller and wider than the iPhone 6 - but not by much.

Smaller screen?

Previous rumours seem to suggest the Galaxy S6 will sport a 5.1-inch display, but the information which arrived here claims it'll downsize to a 4.9-inch offering.

We reckon that's less likely, considering the dimensions, so expect to see Samsung stick to 5.1 inches.

A look at the base of the Galaxy S6 in the renders and everything looks suspiciously Apple, with drilled speaker holes, centralised microUSB port and a headphone jack on the other side.

The overly rounded edges and corners also smack of the iPhone, and we'd be surprised if Samsung was this overt with its styling. We're expecting a slightly more angular finish which more closely resembles the Galaxy Alpha, Note 4 and A series.
