The rise of streaming services has meant the death of the classic rental shop. Now, you can simply fire up your TV and watch almost anything you want over the internet. There's are so many different on demand services to choose from now that it can get pretty confusing, even if competition is a good thing.

What subscription do I need?

Some streaming services require a monthly fee to access the content and once you're in you watch anything you want as many times as you want. In Amazon's case, you can watch anything with a Prime banner on it but some content is for purchase or rent only. So we've done two columns in the table below.

Many of the big name services offer content to purchase or rent only including iTunes, Google Play, Wuaki.tv and Tesco's Blinkbox.
