A fresh set of leaks claim to give us a better look at the specifications of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6, along with a render that apparently shows what the redesigned handset will look like.
According to the leaks regarding the specifications, which were posted by Indian import tracking website Zauba, the Samsung Galaxy S6 has a model number SM-G920A and comes with a 5-inch screen.
This is actually smaller than the Samsung Galaxy S5's 5.1-inch display, and marks the first time Samsung has released a flagship handset with a smaller screen than its predecessor. If previous rumours of the Samsung Galaxy S6 having a QHD display are correct, then the increased resolution in the slightly smaller display will offer impressively sharp visuals.
Other specifications apparently revealed by the Zauba website include an octa-core Exynos 7420 chipset, 3GB of RAM and a 20MP camera.
New look
An image claiming to be a render of the Samsung Galaxy S6 has also been leaked onto the internet. This image shows a design with curved edges, similar to the iPhone 6, along with a taller and rounder home button, a repositioned proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and front-facing camera.
The headphone jack and the microUSB port are placed at the bottom of the handset, with the volume button (which is now a single large rocker rather than separate buttons) on the left-hand side of the device.
If this render is authentic then those of us asking for a redesigned Galaxy S6 will be pleased, however as with all unverified renders we'd be cautious about getting out hopes up too much.
- Hopefully we'll find out more about the Samsung Galaxy S6 at MWC 2015
