Samsung is working on two new Galaxy Tabtablets, one of which is supplied with an S Pen. Meet the Samsung Galaxy Tab A and Tab A Plus - here's everything we know. (Pictured: Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4.) Also see: Best tablets 2015 and best Android tablets 2015.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A, Samsung Galaxy Tab A Plus specifications

According to Sammobile the Samsung Galaxy Tab A and Tab A Plus are both mid-range tablets, possibly updates to the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 and Galaxy Tab 4 10.1in, given their similar model names.

The site has since offered more details about these devices, and claims the Samsung Galaxy Tab A Plus will be the first non-Note-series device to come with an S Pen stylus.

The Tab A is not the smaller version of the Tab A Plus - both will come with either 8in or 9.7in screens, and are super-slim at 7.4mm. The only difference between the two is the stylus and the amount of RAM (1.5GB for the Tab A, 2GB for the Tab A Plus).

Both 8in tablets have a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 1024x768, 4:3 screen, 5Mp rear and 2Mp front cameras, 16GB of storage and 4200mAh battery capacity. The 9.7in models feature a 1.2GHz Qualcomm APQ8016 processor and a larger-capacity 6000mAh battery.

Cellular connectivity will be available as an option on both tablets.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A, Samsung Galaxy Tab A Plus UK release date, price: When is the Tab A / A Plus coming out? How much will the Tab A / A Plus cost?

No information is yet known regarding the Galaxy Tab A and A Plus' UK release date and pricing, but bookmark this page and we'll update the article as soon as this information is available.

However, we can speculate.

As mid-range tablets that are expected to replace the Tab 4 7in and Tab 4 10.1in, we can guess that Samsung might follow the same release date- and pricing patterns.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 was announced on 1 April 2014, and went on sale 1 May 2014. An update to that line will likely appear at around the same time in 2015.

We also know that the Tab 4 7in costs £139, while the earlier Tab 3 8in costs £249 - matching the 10.1in Tab 4. A larger and newer 8in Tab A (aka Galaxy Tab 5) might therefore cost somewhere between the two, perhaps £199, while the 9.7in Tab A might stick at £249.

For the inclusion of an S Pen in the Plus model the price could go up by around £50, while adding 4G LTE connectivity will likely add £100.

With all that in mind, here are our predictions - purely speculative, of course:

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8in: £199 (Wi-Fi), £299 (4G Wi-Fi), announced April 2015, on sale May 2015
